How long will it take to get my new window(s), bath system, or garage system?
The typical lead time is 4 to 6 weeks from the date of agreement to the installation. Some nonstandard custom designed or custom sized items will have a longer lead time.

Can my window(s), bath system, or garage system be installed in one day?
In most cases an installation will only take one day to complete; however, large jobs will require two installation crews and or 2 days to complete the installation. The Pro-Fit of Michigan scheduling staff will make every effort to accommodate the homeowner's schedule.

Can I install my own window(s), bath system, or garage system?
No. Our products are backed by warranties that require professional trained installers for the installation. Improper installation will void the manufactures warranties on our windows, bath systems, and garage organization systems.

Do you install windows during the winter?
Yes! Our professional trained installation crews try to minimize the time from when the old window is removed to when the new window is installed. We only take one window out at a time and put the new one in right away before proceeding to the next window.

What is an ENERGY STAR qualified window?
ENERGY STAR labeled windows meet a stringent energy efficiency specification set by the Department of Energy and have been tested and certified by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC). NFRC is an independent, third-party certification agency that assigns specific energy efficiency measures such as U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient to the complete window system, not simply the glass. ENERGY STAR qualified windows may have two or more panes of glass, warm-edge spacers between the window panes, improved framing materials, and Low-E coating(s) which are microscopically thin coatings that helps keep heat inside during the winter and outside during the summer. What is the U-Factor rating?
The U-Factor rating will vary from window to window depending on the style of window, the composition of the frame, and glass type. The U-Factor on the NFRC label always indicates the performance of the entire window system including the glass, frame and the spacer. When comparing windows, a lower U-Factor means better insulating quality. Our consultants will be able provide specific U-Factor information for the style and glass type that you choose. Pro-Fit currently offers window systems that achieve higher performance levels than other types of Low-E glass windows on the market today.

How can I get rid of the condensation/moisture that collects on the inside window/patio door glass?
Indoor condensation or moisture is caused by a variety of factors, including cooking, showering, running dishwashers, storing fire wood, pets, fish tanks, plants, clothes dryers that are not vented properly, even breathing. Indoor condensation usually forms in the winter, especially at the beginning of the heating season. As the outside temperature drops, the inside surface will also get cooler; therefore, condensation will form at lower relative humidity on cold days. The colder the air outside, the more likely condensation is to occur. Interior condensation can be reduced by opening windows for a few minutes each day, running kitchen, bathroom, and other fans longer and more often, opening blinds and drapes, and operating ceiling fans to improve air circulation.

Are the bathtub liners and wall systems mold resistant?

Can I reuse and reinstall my existing shower doors?
This is not recommended. Once we drill the holes to put up your old doors you are committed to those doors and new doors may not cover the damage. Also your old doors will compromise the low maintenance bath enclosure that you are trying to achieve. Luxury Bath offers several series of shower doors that are low maintenance, durable, and aesthetically pleasing that will enhance the beauty of your new Luxury Bath System. Can I reuse my existing bathroom fixtures, faucets, and tub spouts?
We can reinstall most existing fixtures; however, we strongly suggest that you replace your fixtures for a complete and updated finished look. We currently offer Danze faucets, showerheads, and accessories necessary to complete your bath enclosure. All Danze faucets are solid brass construction, offer anti-scald protection, have ceramic disc valves for smooth turning action, and lifetime warranty on fit, finish and function.

Pro-Fit offers a durable yet soft vinyl tile floor that is impervious to salt, snow, motor oil, and most spills. The floor tiles will not flake or crack and do not require frequent or expensive repair or replacement. The floor tiles are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of 15 years from the date of installation.

How much weight can the hooks and cabinets support?
Hooks measuring from 1 to 8 inches can support 100 pounds. Cabinets can safely hold 50 pounds per shelf and 20 pounds at the bottom shelf /base of the cabinet.
